The Reliable Recycling & Metals Center is located at 901 Illinois Ave in Waterloo, IL, 62298. It is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. – Noon. Recycling Center Information

Items accepted for free recycling: soft plastics, cardboard (only), steel cans and small steel objects, clear and colored jars and bottles (only), newspapers, magazines, junk mail, paper, office paper, wrapping paper, aluminum cans, household cooking oil

Items charged for a disposal fee: bags of trash, all types of building and remodeling material, large yard toys, yard landscaping items, furniture, hot tubs, household trash and other household items, computers, monitors, TVs, mattresses and box springs, mirrors, pane glass, swimming pools, other electronics

Commercial or residential paper shredding: paper shredding services are available

Items free to dump: all types of metal, small and large appliances

Items not accepted: engine oil, chemicals, tires, paint, concrete and stone, yard debris

Non-acceptable recycling items: Styrofoam, plastic bags of any kind, bubble wrap, aluminum foil, aluminum pie plates, dishware

Important: All recyclable items need to be sorted prior to arriving at the facility. As a safety precaution, please keep children and pets inside the vehicle at all times. Do not enter the building when cones are displayed or machinery is in use.
